Guadalajara downs Caracas 1-0

Aaron Galindo scored with a towering header in the final ten minutes to give Chivas of Guadalajara a 1-0 win over Caracas and the Group 6 lead in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday.
Galindo rose to score the winner from a Gonzalo Pineda free kick in the 81st minute and finally find a way past in-form Caracas goalkeeper Renny Vega.
Vega was the hero for the Venezuelan team on several occasions, making a crucial save on a Jared Borgetti shot at point blank range in the 58th minute, after blocking Alberto Medina's attempt at the end of the first half.
Chivas recovered from the 2-0 defeat inflicted last week in Venezuela to take control of the group with seven points. Caracas stays second with six, while Everton and Lanus have four and two points respectively, having both played a game less.
Guadalajara played the final stage of the match with 10 men after Jonny Magallon was sent off in the in the 60th minute.
Caracas has never beaten a Mexican side away from home in the Copa Libertadores, with the record now stretching to six defeats and two draws since 1998.
