Gold prices gain as Wall Street wavers

Gold prices have closed higher, benefiting from renewed caution on Wall Street and signs of weakness in the dollar.
In other commodities trading, oil and agriculture futures are lower on new evidence that global demand is falling off.
Investors were seeking out gold again Wednesday as Wall Street had a quieter day after the previous session's huge rally. The Dow Jones industrials rose nearly 4 points, compared to a huge 379-point advance on Tuesday.
The dollar, meanwhile, fell against the euro and the British pound, also helping to boost gold.
Gold for April delivery is up $14.80 to $910.70 an ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
