Financial woes likely to delay Hungary's MotoGP

Construction delays caused by financial woes are likely to push back the return of a MotoGP event to Hungary, race promoters said Wednesday.
The first Hungarian motorcycle Grand Prix since 1992 was due to be held Sept. 20 at a racetrack currently in the initial stages of construction in the town of Savoly, near Lake Balaton.
However, race promoter Balatonring Zrt. said that "a delay in the construction process" meant the track will not be ready in time, adding it would seek to postpone the race until 2010.
Balatonring said it had already informed MotoGP rights holders Dorna Sports about the decision and would submit the postponement request to FIM, the sport's governing body.
