Greek terror group claims Athens Citibank bombs

A far-left Greek militant group is claiming responsibility for planting a failed fertilizer bomb last month outside Citibank's offices in Athens, and for the bombing this week of one of the bank's branches in the city.
The weekly newspaper To Pontiki said Wednesday it received a statement from Revolutionary Struggle, a group known for firing a rocket-propelled grenade into the U.S. Embassy in Athens in 2007.
The newspaper says the group claims responsibility for planting a car bomb on Feb. 18 outside the Citibank offices. The bomb did not explode but police said it contained enough explosives to destroy the building. Revolutionary Struggle also says it carried out a bombing Monday in a northwestern district of Athens that caused damage but no injuries.
