Spain commemorates Madrid train bombings

Spanish parliamentarians have held a minute's silence to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Madrid train bombings that killed 191 people and injured 2,000 others.
It was one of several events being held in the city Wednesday in memory of the victims of Europe's worst Islamic terror attack.
Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero said he wanted to express the government's support for the victims and their families.
Zapatero's party won their first general elections three days after the attacks. Four crowded commuter trains were ripped apart when 10 backpack bombs exploded.
Twenty-one people have been convicted and sentenced for their part in the bombings.
