Prices higher on Taipei futures market

Taipei, March 11 (CNA) Prices on Taipei's stock futures market were higher Wednesday, with the Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Index for March advancing 103 points to end at 4,758, with 76,468 contract transactions.
TAIEX Index futures for April rose 105 points to finish at 4,705, with 2,678 contracts traded, while June futures moved up 103 points to close at 4,615, with 73 contracts traded.
September futures gained 95 points to close at 4,386, with 38 contract transactions, while December futures rose 96 points to finish at 4,330, with 48 contract transactions.
Taiwan International Mercantile Exchange reference levels for TAIEX Index futures trading were set Wednesday at 4,655 for March, 4,600 for April, 4,512 for June, 4,291 for September, and 4,234 for December.
The Taiwan stock exchange's benchmark TAIEX index rose 88.94 points, or 1.9 percent, to finish at 4,759.96, on turnover of NT$111.91 billion (US$3.25 billion).
Electronics (TE) and financial (TF) futures, which are sub-index futures based on Taiwan Stock Exchange-listed electronics shares and financial stocks, were higher.
March TE futures gained 1.75 points to close at 196.8, with 6,131 contracts traded, while April TE futures advanced 1.5 points to finish at 194.75, with 134 contracts traded. June TE futures gained 1.15 points to end at 189.55, with two contracts traded. No transactions were recorded for September and December. March TF futures rose 22.6 points to close at 493.4, with 8,023 contracts changing hands, while April TF futures moved up 23.2 points to finish at 489.6, with 195 contracts traded.
June TF futures advanced 25 points to end at 480, with two contracts traded, while December TF futures increased 18.4 points to end at 462, with four contract transactions. No transactions were recorded for September.
