Korean pop star's trial opens with jury selection

Jury selection has begun in the civil trial of South Korean pop star and actor Rain.
Rain _ whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon _ and his producers are being sued over the performer's cancellation of a June 2007 concert in Honolulu.
Attorneys say Rain could be called to testify in the federal court trial.
Hawaii-based Click Entertainment Inc. alleges that it was defrauded of more than $500,000 in licensing fees.
The company also is seeking damages for the cost of staging the event.
Rain's attorney, Jennifer Lyons, declined comment on the litigation before start of the trial.
Other Rain concerts set for San Francisco, Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles also were canceled in what organizers said was a copyright challenge that was later dismissed.
