NASA postpones Mars Odyssey reboot

NASA has postponed a risky move to restart the computer on the Mars Odyssey spacecraft.
Tuesday's delay occurred after engineers noticed a spike in temperature on the craft's navigation camera. Mission managers decided to put off the computer reboot until they can probe the cause of the temperature rise.
Odyssey has been put in safe mode in preparation for the reboot. A new date has not been set.
Scientists at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California have been concerned that Odyssey's computer memory may have been corrupted from years of exposure to space radiation.
