French oil giant Total SA said Tuesday it plans to cut 555 jobs from its refining and petrochemical operations in France over the next three years as it adapts production to falling oil consumption.
The job reductions will be made through attrition, internal placement and an early retirement program _ not layoffs, the Paris-based company said in a statement.
