Obama and UN chief to swap concerns at White House

President Barack Obama meets Tuesday with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, seeking a new and stronger relationship between the world body and its single biggest backer.
Ban is going to the White House at Obama's invitation to discuss a wide range of global security and development issues.
The United States agrees to pay nearly a quarter of the U.N.'s $4.86 billion operating budget, but they had a difficult relationship during much of President George W. Bush's administration.
Among the top concerns is the humanitarian crisis in Darfur, where the Sudanese president kicked out aid groups since an arrest warrant charged him with war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Others are the global financial meltdown and prospects for a new U.N.-brokered international climate treaty by the end of the year.
