Brazil growth slows sharply in Q4 amid meltdown

Brazil's government says the nation's economic growth slowed sharply in the fourth quarter of last year. Latin America's largest economy expanded 5.1 percent overall in 2008.
The IGBE statistics agency says economic activity grew 1.3 percent from October to December compared to the same period in 2007.
But the economy shrank by 3.6 percent compared to the previous quarter.
GDP is the measure of all goods and services produced in a country.
The IGBE released the result on Tuesday.
