Prices higher on Taipei futures market

Taipei, March 10 (CNA) Prices on Taipei's stock futures market were higher Tuesday, with the Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Index for March advancing 33 points to end at 4,656, with 91,575 contract transactions.
TAIEX Index futures for April rose 30 points to finish at 4,600, with 1,807 contracts traded, while June futures moved up 35 points to close at 4,512, with 72 contracts traded.
September futures gained 30 points to close at 4,291, with 31 contract transactions, while December futures rose 33 points to finish at 4,234, with 48 contract transactions.
Taiwan International Mercantile Exchange reference levels for TAIEX Index futures trading were set Tuesday at 4,623 for March, 4,570 for April, 4,477 for June, 4,261 for September, and 4,201 for December.
The Taiwan stock exchange's benchmark TAIEX index rose 42.78 points, or 0.92 percent, to finish at 4,671.02, on turnover of NT$86.48 billion (US$2.50 billion).
Electronics (TE) and financial (TF) futures, which are sub-index futures based on Taiwan Stock Exchange-listed electronics shares and financial stocks, were higher.
March TE futures gained 0.25 points to close at 195.15, with 6,703 contracts traded, while April TE futures advanced 0.25 points to finish at 193.25, with 166 contracts traded. No transactions were recorded for June, September and December. March TF futures rose 9.6 points to close at 471, with 5,408 contracts changing hands, while April TF futures moved up 10.2 points to finish at 466.4, with 115 contracts traded.
June TF futures advanced 6.8 points to end at 455, with one contract traded. No transactions were recorded for September and December.
