Hundreds of Kenyan students protest over killings

Hundreds of Kenyan university students are protesting the deaths of a fellow student and two activists who were researching extrajudicial killings when they were shot last week.
Many of the students who marched through Nairobi on Tuesday waved banners demanding justice for their colleague. He was shot by police in riots that followed the killing of the activists in front of the university.
The students chanted slogans demanding that the police commissioner resign.
In a sign that grievances from different groups might be converging, other students wore black T-shirts with political slogans demanding legislators pay taxes on their fat salaries or the resignation of parliament.
