Canadian gets life without parole for NY slaying

A Canadian accused of killing two men in Nova Scotia will spend life in prison for murdering a northern New York man in 2007.
Glen Race of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, was sentenced to life without parole Thursday in Clinton County Court in Plattsburgh.
The 27-year-old Race was convicted of first-degree murder last fall for killing Darcy Manor, a 35-year-old father of two who was found shot to death at a remote hunting camp near the Canadian border in May 2007.
Race was later captured at the Mexican border in Texas.
He still faces murder charges in Canada, where authorities say he killed two men in the Halifax area just days before killing Manor.
Canadian prosecutors say they'll seek to have Race extradited for trial on those charges.
