Del Piero and Juventus putting pressure on Inter

Alessandro Del Piero seems to get better with age and Juventus is improving as the season wears on, allowing the Bianconeri to move within four points of a stuttering Inter Milan atop Serie A before a key test at Lazio on Sunday.
Also this weekend, David Beckham could play his first match at the San Siro for AC Milan against Fiorentina.
Del Piero scored with a free kick in Juventus' 1-0 win over Siena last weekend and contributed with a goal, an assist and had two shots strike the goalframe in a 3-0 victory over Catania in the Italian Cup on Wednesday.
The 34-year-old scored 21 goals in Serie A last season, tying his career best from 10 years earlier. He has seven in Serie A so far this season, plus another four in the Champions League.
The game against Catania also saw the return of goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, his first match since injuring a leg muscle in October.
"I'm pleased by our form after the break. We're used to playing three games per week and we couldn't wait to restart," Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri said. "It's going to be a tough match in Rome, but at least we come in with more minutes in our legs."
Goran Pandev scored a hat trick as Lazio beat Reggina 3-2 last weekend, and the Roman club is only three points from fourth place and a Champions League berth.
With 29 goals scores, Lazio boast the fourth-best attack in the league.
Inter leads Serie A with 43 points, Juventus is next with 39, Milan is third with 34 and Napoli has 33.
Inter struggled to a 1-1 draw with Cagliari last weekend to snap its eight-match winning streak, and needed two goals in extra time to beat 10-man Genoa 3-1 in the Italian Cup on Wednesday.
Inter now visits mid-table Atalanta.
Beckham got a surprise start and played 89 minutes in his first official match at AS Roma last weekend. Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti said he was pleased with the play of the former England captain and could use him again against Fiorentina.
Milan's defensive troubles have grown worse with the news that Kakha Kaladze will fly to Antwerp, Belgium, on Monday to have his injured left knee examined by specialist Marc Martens.
Another defender, Alessandro Nesta, is still in Miami receiving medical attention for his aching back, and Milan's sporting director Ariedo Braida was reportedly spotted at a Milan restaurant with the agent for Liverpool center back Daniel Agger.
Forward Marco Borriello, whom Ancelotti said Milan needs to get on the end of Beckham's crosses, is still working his way back from right knee surgery. Also, Ronaldinho has been out for two days with a cold.
Milan playmaker Kaka has said he wants to "grow old" with Milan despite lingering reports that Manchester City has offered 100 million pounds for his services.
Roma has improved greatly since losing six of its first nine matches. After beating Sampdoria 2-0 on Wednesday in the completion of a match that was suspended in October due to torrential rain, Roma is only six points out of the Champions League places.
Roma visits Torino on Sunday.
The weekend's action opens Saturday with Siena vs. Reggina.
Sunday's other games are: Cagliari vs. Udinese; Catania vs. Bologna; Chievo Verona vs. Napoli; Lecce vs. Genoa; and Sampdoria vs. Palermo.
