Iran leader urges Arabs to cut ties with Israel

Iran's president is urging Arab leaders to use their political and economic influence to apply international pressure on Israel to help end its offensive on Gaza.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Arabs should cut all public and secret contacts with Israel and exert pressure on the Jewish state's Western backers.
Ahmadinejad spoke on the Iranian-ally Hezbollah's Al-Manar Television on Wednesday.
It was Ahmadinejad's first interview for the Hezbollah TV since Israel's offensive started on December 27.
The Iranian leader dismissed accusations that Iran is calling on its ally Hamas to reject an Egyptian plan to end the fighting in Gaza. Ahmadinejad also demanded Egypt opens the crossings with the coastal strip.
