"Under the Tuscan Sun," a movie that is familiar with most people was shot in location against the backdrop of Toscana. Chianti high grade olive oil which is produced in Toscana also took the world by storm. The Westin Taipei's Asst. Director of Marketing Communications Antonia Pao remarked, "Toscana's excellent location not only produces the best olive oil but is also renowned for its "Parmesan Cheese" and different kinds of fresh sweet vegetables.
Based on the theme of "Toscana," The Westin Taipei's Danieli's Italian Restaurant's Executive Chef Jack Wang Zong-Jun will be introducing an array of authentic Italian cuisine for the months of January and February. All of the ingredients and preparation is done in genuine Toscana style. The Executive Chef highly recommends gourmet lovers to sample the "Tuscany Flavored Special Set Menu" offered at the Daniel's Italian Restaurant.
Relishing in an exquisite Italian favorite: Pan-fried Veal Escalope Wrapped with Parma Ham served with Chianti Sauce
The Westin Taipei invites guests to sample the all time favorite "Tuscany Flavored Special Set Menu." Diners can start with a "Cold Smoked Raw Scallop and Mushroom Carpaccio served with "Mustard Seed Dressing, followed with a Vegetable Minestrone with Abalone Slice." Then relish in the "Home-made Gnocchi with Clam in Pesto Sauce." The main course offers a choice of either "Pan-fried Veal Escalope Wrapped with Parma Ham served with Chianti Sauce" or "Grilled Red Garouper Fillet served with Orange Salad and Extra Olive Oil." The final course is a fabulous Dessert and choice of either Freshly Brewed Coffee or Tea.
Danieli's Italian Restaurant Chef Jack Wang highly recommends diners to sample the "Pan-fried Veal Escalope Wrapped with Parma Ham served with Chianti Sauce." Experience an authentic taste of veal escalope together with the outer layer of salty parma ham pan-fried in butter. Parma ham is a perfect combination of calf and parma ham. Guests can feel the sweet tasting wine flavored sauce.
Cold Smoked Japanese Scallop
Guests who prefer to indulge in noodles must definitely not miss out on the "Home-made Gnocchi with Clam in Pesto Sauce" a hand-made noodles added with potatoes and parmesan cheese. The Executive Chef selected the freshest ingredients such as baby clam and stir-fried together with light soy sauce, onions and noodles.
"Cold Smoked Japanese Scallop" is one of the signature dish and highly recommended by the Executive Chef. Guests will be able to sample at the time two different kinds of preparation - smoked and stir-fried. The Executive Chef uses only the freshest ingredients, including fresh scallops flown-in direct from Hokkaido, Japan. The sauce is made from lemon oil sauce and Italian mustard and mixed together with mustard sauce.
A dish that truly stands out - Seared Florence Style T-Bone Steak with Truffle Oil
Chef Jack Wang of Danieli's Italian Restaurant highly recommends "Chef of Danieli's Selection Set Menu" for guests who want to truly enjoy the best of Italian cuisine. The course starts with a "Deep-fried Crispy Lobster Tail with Saffron and Lemon Garlic Sauce," followed by "Veal Consomm with White Truffle Ravioli."
