Swedish skier racer Markus Larsson has lost consciousness after crashing in downhill training on the famed Lauberhorn piste.
The 30-year-old Larsson crashed Wednesday near the finish of the nearly 4.5-kilometer (2.8-mile) course, the longest and most demanding on the World Cup circuit.
Race organizers say he lost consciousness but that no further details are immediately available about his condition.
Larsson is an experienced skier with 130 starts in World Cup races. He has won two races and had two more podium finishes in slalom.
