Taiwan arrests presidential office employee

A spokesman for Taiwan's presidential office says an employee has been arrested on suspicion of leaking official documents.
Wang Yu-chi says the documents are related to last May's hand-over of power to President Ma Ying-jeou. He says the leak violated the island's National Security Law.
The law is usually applied to espionage relating to China. Taiwan and the mainland split amid civil war in 1949.
Speaking Wednesday, Wang would not comment directly about the recipient of the documents.
Ma has made improving relations with China the hallmark of his eight-month-old presidency.
China insists that the island is part of its territory and remains committed to unification _ by persuasion if possible, by force if necessary.
