Weather forecast for the Asia-Pacific region

A low pressure system east of Japan will trigger scattered precipitation while pulling in cool air from the north to most areas of Japan with a few snow showers extending into the Korean peninsula Thursday. Tokyo will see a few clouds and a high near 8 Celsius.
High pressure will continue to build over eastern China bringing dry weather. Expect mostly sunny skies in Beijing with a high near 0 C, while Hong Kong may see a few scattered clouds with a high near 16 C.
A low pressure system will develop over the Tibetan Plateau on Thursday and kick up widespread light mixed precipitation over central China.
Wet conditions will persist over the Pacific Islands on Thursday. There is currently no tropical activity in the Western Pacific or Indian Oceans.
High pressure will build over the Great Australian Bight and bring dry conditions to the southern portion of the continent, while lower pressure in the north will trigger widespread moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms over the Northern Territory and Queensland. A low pressure system will also move past the southern tip of New South Wales but is not expected to trigger any precipitation over the region. Sydney will see partly cloudy skies with a high near 30 C.
