Taipei, Dec. 31 (CNA) Former Eastern Multimedia Group President Gary Wang was sentenced to 18 years in jail and fined NT$700 million (US$21.21 million) fine Wednesday for collaborating with his father Wang You-theng in embezzling funds from the family's Rebar Asia Pacific Group.
Illicit gains totaling more than NT$300 million should also be confiscated, the Taipei District Court said in its verdict.
