Sweden cruises past Latvia 10-1

Magnus Svensson Paajarvi had two goals and two assists to help Sweden rout Latvia 10-1 at the world junior hockey championship on Monday.
Nicklas Lasu also had two goals for Sweden (3-0), which is unbeaten at the tournament with one game remaining in the preliminary round. Sweden faces Russia on Wednesday.
Erik Karlsson, Simon Hjalmarsson and Joakim Andersson each had a goal and two assists for Sweden while Andre Petersson, David Ullstrom and Mattias Tedenby had a goal each.
Sweden's Mark Owuya faced 10 shots. Sweden outshot Latvia 61-11.
Roberts Jekimovs scored for Latvia, which is winless from three games and closes out its preliminary round against Finland (0-2) on Tuesday.
