Red Cross sends medical supplies to Gaza hospitals

The international Red Cross says three trucks carrying blood and other medical supplies have crossed into Gaza where hospitals are struggling to treat hundreds of people injured in Israeli attacks.
The Geneva-based International Committee of the Red Cross says Palestinian Red Crescent ambulances from Jerusalem also arrived in Gaza on Monday.
About 315 people in Gaza are estimated to have died and about 1,400 have been wounded in Israeli attacks since they began Saturday.
ICRC spokeswoman Dorothea Krimitsas says the latest shipment of medical supplies follows an earlier delivery Sunday but is unlikely to cover the needs of Gaza's hospitals.
Krimitsas said an ICRC team was on its way to Gaza's largest hospital to assess its needs.
