Ghana: Narrow lead for opposition candidate

Radio and TV stations say opposition leader John Atta Mills is narrowly leading Ghana's hotly contested presidential ballot.
Independent and influential Radio Joy FM reports from unofficial results that Atta Mills has 50.64 percent of the 8.7 million votes counted. Still expected are results from seven constituencies with nearly 340,000 voters.
Joy FM gives 49.36 percent of counted votes to Nana Akufo-Addo of the ruling party.
Akufo-Addo has campaigned on his party's economic successes in the world's No. 2 cocoa producer and the latest African nation to discover oil.
Atta Mills maintains the wealth has not trickled down and most Ghanaians remain impoverished.
Official results are expected Tuesday.
