UN says 50 more Zimbabwe cholera deaths in 3 days

The United Nations says almost 50 more people have died from cholera in Zimbabwe in the past three days.
The World Health Organizations says the death toll from the outbreak reached 1,564 by Sunday.
This compares with 1,518 deaths reported on Dec. 25.
WHO says the cumulative number of cases since August increased to 29,131 from 26,497 in the three-day period.
WHO spokesman Gregory Hartl said Monday that the Geneva-based agency is still working on the assumption that the disease could affect up to 60,000 people.
Cholera is spread through contaminated water supplies.
