Prices mostly higher on Taipei futures market

Taipei, Dec. 29 (CNA) Prices on Taipei's stock futures market were mostly higher Monday, with the Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Index for January advancing 9 points to end at 4,386 with 47,046 contract transactions.
TAIEX Index futures for February gained 13 points to finish at 4,363, with 115 contracts traded, while March futures were up 10 points to end at 4,335, with 19 contracts traded.
June futures were down 26 points to close at 4,280, with seven contract transactions, while September futures decreased four points to end at 4,108, with 19 contract transactions.
Taiwan International Mercantile Exchange reference levels for TAIEX Index futures trading were set Thursday at 4,377 for January, 4,350 for February, 4,325 for March, 4,306 for June and 4,112 for September.
The Taiwan stock exchange's benchmark TAIEX index decreased 8.92 points to finish at 4,416.16, on turnover of NT$23.64 billion (US$716.36 million).
Electronics (TE) and financial (TF) futures, which are sub-index futures based on Taiwan Stock Exchange-listed electronics shares and financial stocks, were mixed.
January TE futures gained 0.3 points to close at 165.9, with 2,207 contracts traded. No transactions were recorded for February, March, June and September.
January TF futures were up five points to close at 565, with 1,908 contracts changing hands, while February TF futures increased 5.4 points to finish at 562, with five contracts traded.
September TF futures dropped 5.4 points to end at 523, with one contract traded. No transactions were recorded for March and June.
