Portsmouth expected to appoint Adams as manager

Portsmouth is expected to name Tony Adams as its new manager.
Portsmouth will announce a successor to Harry Redknapp later Tuesday, with Adams expected to step up from his previous position as assistant manager.
The former Arsenal captain, who had been at Portsmouth since June 2006, has not been in full control of a team since resigning from a poor spell at Wycombe in November 2004.
The 42-year-old Adams followed his year at Wycombe with stints in the Netherlands, helping train a Feyenoord youth side and the FC Utrecht first team as a trainee.
