The Bucharest stock exchange has begun trading again after temporarily suspending operations when the benchmark BET index dropped 8.9 percent.
Trading on the BVB exchange was automatically suspended just over half an hour after it opened Monday. It resumed about 90 minutes later, at 11.30 a.m (0930 GMT). Trading will be suspended again if the main index drops 15 percent.
This is the fourth time this month that trading has been suspended on the BVB.
The stock exchange has fallen by 75 percent in the past year.
