G-7 warns against yen volatility

Japan says that the top industrialized nations are warning against "excessive volatility" in the yen exchange rate.
Japan's Finance Ministry says on its Website that the brief communique was issued by the Group of Seven nations and their central bank governors on Monday.
The dollar stood at 94.03 yen in Tokyo Monday morning, compared with 94.24 yen. The Japanese currency hit the 90-yen level against the dollar Friday, the highest since August 1995.
