Polls close in Lithuanian election

Lithuanian election officials say voting stations have closed in the second round of the Baltic country's parliamentary election.
Sixty-eight seats in the country's 141-member parliament are at stake in the day's ballot, and a conservative party that has been in opposition for nearly a decade is expected to forge a comeback.
Election officials said Sunday that participation was low, with turnout by mid-afternoon down 7 percent compared with the first round of voting two weeks ago.
The governing Social Democrats finished fourth in the first round, though party leaders are holding out hopes for a strong showing Sunday that will enable them to remain in power.
