Bangladesh-NZ second day rained out

The second day of the second and final Bangladesh-New Zealand test was called off Sunday due to rain, reducing the match to three days at most.
Following incessant rain that had sodden the outfield, match referee Javagal Srinath announced the decision around midday, after consulting with the umpires and the team captains.
A tropical depression has been dumping rain on Bangladesh since Friday, and the wet weather was forecast to continue for the coming days, jeopardizing the chances of any play in Dhaka.
But if the weather clears, play will likely begin 30 minutes earlier, at 9am (0300GMT) on Monday, to begin making up for lost time, cricket officials said.
New Zealand leads the series 1-0.
