Asia-Pacific weather

Heavy rain linked with a cold front will affect parts of southern Japan on Monday before moving out into the Sea of Japan later in the day.
Another cold front, moving down from the Siberian region of Russia, will bring cool conditions to northern China.
East coast regions of the Bay of Bengal, notably Bangladesh, will suffer heavy monsoonal rain and thunderstorms.
Rain showers can also be expected in Australia's deep southwest and southeast coastal areas, caused by separate low pressure systems moving in from the sea. Most of the rest of Australia will remain dry and hot.
The temperature in Tokyo and Shanghai will reach into the lower 20s Celsius. Seoul will be much cooler in the low teens.
Sydney can expect the thermometer to climb into the low 30s, but in Melbourne the temperature will reach only into the mid 20s, the same as Brisbane.
