Former Scotland manager Ian McColl dies at 81

Ian McColl, the former Rangers captain and Scotland manager, has died, the Scottish Premier League club said Saturday. He was 81.
Rangers did not say when McColl died or give a cause of death.
During a 15-year career with the club, the defender won six league titles, five Scottish Cups and two League Cups.
"He was a magnificent player for Rangers and, of course, a key member of the famous Iron Curtain defence in the post-war era," Rangers chief executive Martin Bain said.
After making 14 appearances for Scotland, McColl became national manager and won British Home Championships in 1962 and 1963.
McColl left Scotland to manage English club Sunderland in 1965.
He is survived by wife Jessie, son Ian and daughter Aileen.
