Livni advisor says no election decision yet

A senior advisor to Israeli Prime Minister-designate Tzipi Livni says that hours before a self-declared deadline expires she has yet to decide whether to go to the polls or attempt to rule with a potentially fragile coalition.
Livni's attempts to form a government with a solid majority foundered when the third-largest party in parliament refused to join but her point man on coalition talks says she has so far not abandoned attempts to put together an alternative alliance.
"Everything is open, everything is still possible," Cabinet minister Tzahi Hanegbi told Channel Two TV Saturday evening. "Not for long of course, tomorrow afternoon she will go to the president. Maybe before the night is over we shall know what she is going to tell the president."
