Swaziland's new PM distrusts democracy movement

Swaziland's king has appointed a new prime minister who shares the absolute monarch's distrust of democracy campaigners.
King Mswati III announced Sibusiso Dlamini as his prime minister at a rally attended by around 10,000 Swazis on Thursday. Dlamini, a former IMF official, then gave a speech denouncing those calling for democratic reform as "a threat to the peace and stability of the country."
Dlamini's appointment followed elections Sept. 19 for a 55-seat National Assembly that is subservient to the king.
Constitutional lawyer Muzi Masuku says Dlamini is little more than "an extension" of the king.
Trade unions and pro-democracy groups in Swaziland see the parliament and prime minister as rubber stamps of the king.
