Dunga summons squad for World Cup qualifying

Dunga will use nine players from the Olympic roster in Brazil's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia, including Ronaldinho and Diego.
Kaka, who has been nursing a knee injury at AC Milan, was left out of Brazil's matches against Chile in Santiago on Sept. 7 and against Bolivia in Rio de Janeiro on Sept. 10.
Brazil finished with the bronze medal at the Beijing Games after a 3-0 win over Belgium on Friday in Shanghai. It fell short on its quest to win the nation's first gold in football by losing to Argentina 3-0 in the semifinals.
"The players of the Olympic national team deserved being summoned again," Dunga said. "It's a recognition and a prize for their dedication, their behavior, and their attitude during the preparation for the Olympics and during the competition."
In addition to Ronaldinho and Diego, the other Olympic players called up by Dunga for the qualifiers were Renan, Rafinha, Alex Silva, Lucas, Anderson, Rafael Sobis and Jo. Ronaldinho was one of Brazil's overage players in the Olympics, but all others are 23 or younger.
Also summoned by Dunga for the qualifiers were Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar, AS Roma defender Juan, Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano and Real Madrid forward Robinho.
Brazil won five of its six matches in China, outscoring opponents 14-3. If fell to Argentina after allowing three second-half goals. It was Brazil's first loss to its South American rivals in three years.
Brazil is only fifth in South American qualifying with nine points from six matches. Only the top four will automatically qualify for the 2010 South Africa World Cup.
Brazil was trying to reach the Olympic final for the first time since the 1988 Seoul Games, when it won the first of its two silver medals. The second came at the 1984 Los Angeles Games, when Dunga was a player.
The Brazilians also won bronze at the 1996 Atlanta Games.
