Prices lower on Taipei futures market

Prices on Taipei's stock futures market were lower Friday as the Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Index for September fell 10 points to close at 6,865, with 85,586 contracts changing hands.
TAIEX Index futures for October lost 12 points to finish at 6,843, with 402 contracts traded, while December futures moved down 25 points to close at 6,815, with 75 contract transactions.
March futures decreased 32 points to finish at 6,818, with 25 contract transactions, while June futures were down 83 points to close at 6,747, with four contracts traded.
Taiwan International Mercantile Exchange reference levels for TAIEX Index futures trading were set Friday at 6,875 for September, 6,855 for October, 6,840 for December, 6,850 for March and 6,830 for June.
The Taiwan stock exchange's benchmark TAIEX index lost 6.84 points to finish at 6,911.64, on turnover of NT$78.93 billion (US$2.52 billion).
Electronics (TE) and financial (TF) futures, which are sub-index futures based on Taiwan Stock Exchange-listed electronics shares and financial stocks, were lower.

September TE futures decreased 1.55 points to close at 279.5, with 4,659 contracts traded, while October TE futures decreased 2.35 points to finish at 278.25, with 40 contract transactions. December TE futures lost 3.05 points to end at 276.95, with three contract transactions, while March TE futures lost 0.6 points to end at 278.85, with two contract transactions. No transactions were recorded for June.
September TF futures moved up 3.4 points to close at 835, with 3,450 contracts changing hands, while October TF futures increased 14 points to finish at 843, with six contracts traded. No transactions were recorded for December, March and June.
