Zambrano homers, wins 13th, Cubs top Reds 3-2

Carlos Zambrano earned his 13th victory on the fourth try and homered Thursday to lift the Chicago Cubs to a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.
Zambrano (13-5) allowed a run and six hits in seven innings, including a solo homer by Jay Bruce in the sixth. The Cubs' ace had two no-decisions and a loss in his previous three starts, giving up 17 hits and 15 earned runs in 15 1-3 innings.
He won for the first time since July 29 and ran his record against the Reds to 4-0 this season and 14-9 for his career.
Dodgers 3, Rockies 1
In Los Angeles, Derek Lowe allowed one run in 6 1-3 innings, and James Loney homered and had two RBIs as Los Angeles salvaged the finale of a three-game series.
The victory gave the Dodgers a 7-3 record on their 10-game homestand and moved them within 1 1/2 games of division-leading Arizona in Major League Baseball's National League West.
The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for the Rockies.
Lowe (10-10) allowed four hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. Jonathan Broxton worked the ninth for his 10th save in 11 chances since taking over the closer's role last month.
Giants 4, Marlins 3
In San Francisco, Emmanuel Burriss scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning for San Francisco.
Burriss drew a one-out walk from closer Kevin Gregg (6-6), stole second and took third on a fly out. Pinch-hitter Bengie Molina was intentionally walked, but Gregg's first pitch to Fred Lewis skipped past catcher John Baker, allowing Burriss to score standing up.
Brian Wilson (2-2) pitched a scoreless ninth for San Francisco, which won for the fourth time in five games.
