Brazil unemployment rises to 8.1 pct in July

Brazil says unemployment rose to 8.1 percent in July, reversing a five-month decline.
The national statistics institute says joblessness rose slightly since June, when unemployment was 7.8 percent.
Global Insight managing director Rafael Amiel called the gain a "little yellow flag" that Brazil's economy may be slowing as interest rates rise.
Unemployment was still lower than July of last year, when 9.5 percent of eligible workers said they were unemployed.
Annual inflation crept to 6.4 percent in July, raising concerns that Brazil's central bank may raise interest rates again.
Brazil's central bank has increased its benchmark lending rate three times this year, setting it now at 13 percent.
