Bulgaria beats Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-1

Bulgaria beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 2-1 on Wednesday in a friendly used by Bulgaria as preparation for World Cup qualifiers and by Bosnia to test its new coach.
Dimitar Berbatov gave Bulgaria the lead in the 26th minute when Bosnia defender Senijad Ibricic accidentally gave him the ball in front of Bosnia's unguarded net.
Martin Petrov set up Berbatov's header for his second goal in the 57th, and two minutes later Bosnia's Senaid Ibricic jumped out of a crowd in front of goal to head in the ball.
The match featured the coaching debut of Miroslav Blazevic, who led Croatia to third place at the 1998 World Cup and signed a two-year contract to coach Bosnia's troubled national team.
Before he came, many Bosnia players refused to play for the national team in protest at the perceived mismanagement within the Bosnian Football Association. However, they accepted Blazevic's invitation.
Blazevic said after the game that some of them did not meet his expectations.
Bulgaria was in European Group 8 of World Cup qualifying, and starts against Montenegro in just over two weeks.
