Hungary and Montenegro draw 3-3 in friendly

Tamas Hajnal scored on a late penalty for his second goal of the night to help Hungary earn a hard-fought 3-3 draw against Montenegro in a friendly on Wednesday.
Stefan Jovetic had scored two goals to put Montenegro ahead, but Hajnal netted the equalizer in the 87th minute after Peter Halmose was tripped up in the area by Montenegro goalkeeper Vukasin Poleksic.
Hungary took a 1-0 lead in the 29th through striker Tamas Priskin's powerful shot from 15 meters, but Jovetic equalized right before halftime with a penalty kick that barely eluded Hungary goalkeeper Gabor Babos, who made his first start for the national team since 2004.
Simon Vukcevic then gave Montenegro the lead in the 51st on a rebound after a shot by Jovetic. Hajnal then made it 2-2 four minutes later with a shot from 10 meters off a pass from Krisztian Vadocz.
Jovetic gave his team the lead again in the 68th, with a shot from seven meters (yards) after sloppy play from the Hungarian defense left him alone on the left side, before Hajnal's final equalizer.
Hungary was without Fulham midfielder Zoltan Gera, who is struggling with knee problems.
Hungary will host Denmark on Sept. 6 in its first Group 1 qualifier for the 2010 World Cup, the same day as Montenegro's first Group 8 qualifier against Bulgaria.
