US man fires nail into head in nailgun accident, but survives without serious injury

A man who accidentally fired a 2.5-inch nail into his head in a mishap with a nailgun says he feels "very lucky" to have escaped serious injury.
George Chandler said the nailgun hose became tangled when he was working on a project Friday, causing the powerful tool to fire one nail.
Chandler, speaking Monday to television station KCTV, said he initially didn't know where the nail went, but he felt a sting on the top of his head.
He was rushed to a hospital, where Chandler said a doctor used a common claw hammer to remove the nail.
