Foxconn wins big order from Dell

Dell, the third largest notebook computers producer in the world, has dramatically adjusted its strategy for processing recently, in order to regain its dominance in the market. According to reliable sources, Foxconn Technology Group and Flextronics International Ltd, the two major EMS (Electronics Manufacture Service), have each recently earned big orders from Dell in processing notebooks. The official launch date is scheduled in the first quarter of next year.
This move of Dell could impact the global notebook processing environment. Experts expected that there will be 3 million units of notebook computers processed by Foxconn to circulate in the market. Now, the number will be multiplied as it has started to do processing for Dell, the third largest notebook producer in the world.
However, Foxconn had no comment towards this news, as this corporation never has any comment revealed about its clients or orders. On the other hand, analyst indicated that both Foxconn and Flextronics have shown great interests in receiving orders for the notebooks production processing. Analyst said that both corporations have also got into contacts with HP, ACER, Levino and Apple.
In the last two years, Dell has dropped in its rank, from the first to the third, in terms of NB brand value. Besides reconsidering its marketing channels and NB building structures, the company is now showing concerns about its strategy for processing. Recently, Foxconn and Flextronics received the orders from Dell for the first time, and it was also the first time that these two major EMS won orders from NB brand that is among the world's top five.
Currently, processing companies for Dell NB are Quanta, Compal and Wistron.
