Belgian Malisse among wild card recipients for Wimbledon

Former semifinalist Xavier Malisse was among 11 Wimbledon wild card recipients announced by the All England Club on Tuesday.
Malisse, a 2002 Wimbledon semifinalist, was limited to five tournaments last year because of an injured right wrist and is 6-9 in singles this season, including first-round exits at the Australian Open and his latest Masters Series tournaments in Monte Carlo and Hamburg.
The 27-year-old Belgian player has dropped from a career-high No. 19 after his best Grand Slam run at Wimbledon six years ago to No. 239 in the latest men's rankings.
Wimbledon organizers announced five of the eight available men's wild cards and six of the eight women for the June 23-July 6 event.
British men Jamie Baker and Alex Bogdanovic, Canada's Frank Dancevic and Jeremy Chardy of France will join Malisse in the main draw after getting wild card entries.
On the women's side, former junior No. 1 Urszula Radwanska of Poland will join Britain's Elena Baltacha, Naomi Cavaday, Katie O'Brien and Melanie South and Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro as wild card entries in the main draw.
