Romania striker Ciprian Marica hospitalized after injuring his head in practice game

Romania striker Ciprian Marica was hospitalized Tuesday after injuring his head during a practice game.
The 22-year-old Marica was hurt at St. Gallen stadium in a match involving players that hadn't participated in Monday's 0-0 draw with France.
Marica tried to head the ball and collided with another player, receiving a blow to the back of his head. He was carried from the field on a stretcher after lying on the ground for about 20 minutes, and taken to a hospital near the mountain resort where the Romanian squad is staying.
There was no immediate word from Romania's players or officials about the state of the Stuttgart player's health.
"We don't know what's wrong yet," midfielder Razvan Cocis said. "Of course it would be a loss, but nobody is irreplaceable."
Romania plays Italy in Zurich in Group A on Friday.
