British man sentenced to community service for burning pile of cash after argument

An English man has been sentenced to community service for burning a pile of cash at his home.
Sixty-three-year-old Leo Casey torched the cash after an argument with his partner in July of last year. He admitted locking himself inside a home he was renovating in Nottingham.
He set fire to a bundle of 20-pound notes and tossed them out of a window, and burned other notes inside the house.
Police were unable to determine the precise amount of money but estimated it was about 17,000 pounds (US$34,000).
Casey admitted to a charge of arson with reckless disregard for life. He was sentenced on Monday to community punishment doing unpaid work and he will be under supervision for 18 months.
