Apple Inc.'s iPhone will go on sale in Hong Kong next month, part of a global rollout of the company's popular device.
Hutchison Telecommunications International Ltd. said in a statement Tuesday that it will sell the latest model of iPhone, equipped with faster Internet access and support for satellite navigation, in Hong Kong on July 11 and in Macau at a later date.
Launching the device with Chinese language support, the telecom company will be the first service provider to introduce iPhone in China, Hutchison Telecom said.
The new iPhone will also be rolled out initially in 21 other countries including Australia, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and Japan on July 11.
Hutchison Telecom did not say how much the iPhone will cost in Hong Kong and Macau. This will be the first iPhone model for sale in Hong Kong.
