Romanian football federation denies coach announced lineup for Euro 2008 match against France

The Romanian Football Federation published what it said would be the team's starting lineup for Monday's European Championship match against France, and then said it was inaccurate.
The federation listed the 11 players it said were chosen by Romania coach Victor Piturca for the match against France early Monday.
"It was a technical error of the company that manages the site," press officer Paul Zaharia was quoted as saying by news agency Mediafax. "The information is not supported by any announcement made by the coach or by any official release. I took the information off the site."
The list had Adrian Mutu up front with Daniel Niculae, with Cosmin Contra in defense and captain Cristian Chivu in what appeared to be a holding midfield role. Bogdan Lobont was the goalkeeper in the list.
Also listed were Gabriel Tamas, Dorin Goian, Razvan Rat, Razvan Cocis, Mirel Radoi and Banel Nicolita.
"We will take the harshest measures against the person who made the mistake, or against the company as a whole, after we get all the information about this issue," Zaharia added.
Most teams only make their lineups public about an hour before the match.
Romania will face France in its first match in Group C at Euro 2008 before playing World Cup champion Italy and the Netherlands.
