Jens Lehmann: 6. One slight misjudgment at start, then held all that came his way, which wasn't much.
Philipp Lahm: 7. Very good in defense, a few dangerous runs down the right flank.
Christoph Metzelder: 7. Although with only a handful of games this year, dispelled doubts about match fitness.
Per Mertesacker: 7. With Metzelder, gave stability to central defense and few chances to Poland.
Marcell Jansen: 5. Not always covering his left side with authority, left space open for Polish crosses.
Clemens Fritz: 7. Tireless, covered the right side well, almost always free to receive the ball.
Michael Ballack: 6: The captain was always a presence but not every pass found its intended destination.
