Juergen Macho: 6. Made no mistakes and couldn't do anything about the goal against _ a penalty kick.
Sebastian Proedl: 5. Had lots of troubles in defending Ivica Olic.
Martin Stranzl: 6. Played solid in central defense and killed off many Croatian attacks.
Emanuel Pogatetz: 6. Led the defense well but hardly added to Austria's forward game.
Joachim Standfest: 5. Looked slow on several occasions but had no major mistakes.
Rene Aufhauser: 5. Was solid in defensive midfield, but made the foul against Olic which gave Croatia a penalty kick after four minutes.
Andreas Ivanschitz: 7. Was always on the move and went for his shots whenever possible.
Ronald Gercaliu: 6. Was surprise starter but looked solid.
Juergen Saeumel: 6. Was anonymous in midfield.
Roland Linz: 5. Created little danger, but got hardly any passes from midfield to do so.
Martin Harnik: 6. Was moving well but unlucky in most actions.
Ivica Vastic (for Saeumel in the 61st): 7. Brought new spirit into the game from central midfield.
Umit Korkmaz (for Gercaliu in the 69th): 6. Made no change after coming on as a winger.
Roman Kienast (for Linz in 73rd): 6. Tried to break open the Croatian defense but was unlucky.

Stipe Pletikosa: 6. Not much work. Nervous on rare Austrian shots. Had two poor interventions in the second half.
Vedran Corluka: 7. Sealed the left flank of the defense where the Austrians rarely attacked.
Robert Kovac: 6. Controlled the heart of the defense together with Simunic, but faded in the second half.
Josip Simunic: 8. The main man in the defense, intercepted most of the crosses into the penalty area.
Danijel Pranjic: 6. Better in the attack than in the defense.
Darijo Srna: 7. Provided a few dangerous crosses for his attackers, also helped in the defense.
Niko Kovac: 6. In a fighting spirit as usual, but lost some of the balls that created dangerous situations.
Luka Modric: 7. Converted the penalty in the fourth minute, then shifted more to defense than usual.
Niko Kranjcar: 5. Paired with Modric in the creative midfield, but was poor in his defensive tasks.
Ivica Olic: 8. Was tripped for the penalty in the fourth minute. Constant threat against Austrian goal.
Mladen Petric: 5. Had several opportunities to lead Croatia's attacks, but displayed poor ball control.
Dario Knezevic (for Niko Kranjcar in 61st): 6. Took control of the central defense, but made some panicky moves.
Igor Budan (for Mladen Petric, 72nd): 5. Showed little in the attack when Croatia converted to defense.
